Coquí Club: Hanging with Your Friends

Join Coquí Club, our bilingual program specially designed for El Museo del Barrio’s youngest visitors! Led by our museum educators, this interactive experience includes storytelling, gallery exploration, and a hands-on art-making activity. Don’t forget to wear your Coquí crowns and get ready for a morning full of creativity and fun!
The fall season of Coquí Club will launch with a celebration of friendship and community! Inspired by their exhibition Jangueando: Recent Acquisitions, 2021–2025, explore the ways we connect with friends and enjoy our favorite neighborhood spots.
The program will begin with story time featuring My Friends by Taro Gomi, followed by a visit to the gallery to see vibrant artworks that capture the spirit of everyday life and togetherness. Then, help create a collaborative mural showing where you love to janguear, to hang out and have fun with friends.
Perfect for children ages 3–5 and their grownups, this first session of the Fall of Coquí Club invites families to come together in a morning full of art, exploration, and community joy!
RSVP is necessary and space is limited—if you reserve a spot but can’t attend, please cancel in advance to allow others to participate.
Each child must be registered separately. Recommended for ages 3–5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
