Gather with the team at Theatre of the Oppressed NYC for a day of workshops to apply Theatre of the Oppressed techniques to the art and connection we need right now.

At 11am we have “Answering the Call”, a hands-on workshop for selecting from our arsenal of games and scenes to activate spect-actors, and apply Theatre of the Oppressed techniques to a range of situations.

At 1:30pm “The News is Not Neutral” will draw from Augusto Boal’s Newspaper Theatre to explore how to take billionaire-controlled media and build provocative performance.

At 4pm, we invite you to join “Collaborators and Co-conspirators”, an art party to build up community and craft together! We will have community organizers tabling to share the latest from their campaigns. This event will have Spanish-English interpretation.

All events are sliding scale tickets starting at $20.
