- 8 am Bird Walk
- 10:30 am and 1 pm Guided Nature Walk
- Indigenous People presentation/display all day
- Nature Crafts and Family-friendly scavenger hunts all day
- Wertheim NWR Nature Photography exhibit/discussion by local photographers all day
- Healthy snacks and refreshments provided by the Friends of Wertheim
- Friends of Wertheim gift shop open all week
Come visit Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge anytime between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm from Monday, October 6th through Saturday, October 11th. Friends of Wertheim members and other volunteers will be happy to guide you through the interactive visitor center, provide information about the diversity of flora and fauna on the refuge, and offer you healthy refreshments and snacks. You may choose to walk, run, or otherwise move at your own pace as you feast your eyes on the beauty along the forested trails and the river banks of the pristine Carman’s River.
