Open Worlds Opening Day
Join the Museum of the Moving Image at the kick-off for OPEN WORLDS—an initiative offering free access to its lobby and courtyard all summer long—with a ribbon-cutting, VR demos, a new media installation, and DJ Stretch Armstrong spinning music! Plus, on this day, access to the galleries will also be free starting at 3pm.
Opening Day schedule:
3:45 p.m. Welcoming remarks
4:00 p.m. Ribbon-cutting ceremony
4:00–9:00 p.m. Music by DJ Stretch Armstrong
4:00–9:00 p.m. VR demo in the Fox Amphitheater
For the ribbon-cutting, MoMI Executive Director Aziz Isham will be joined by QBP Donovan Richards, NYS Assembly member Zohran K. Mamdani, and Assembly member Jessica González-Rojas. The music starts just after the ribbon-cutting, and artist Joshua Davis’s renowned audio-reactive installation “the V01D” will be exhibited on the Schlosser Media Wall.
