Pollinator Palooza

The Randall’s Island Park Alliance is hosting a pollinator-themed day of art, games, and exploration. Activities will include pollinator education of how to match different types of pollinators–such as bees, butterflies and dragonflies– to the plants they pollinate, crafts where children can decorate a butterfly mask or bookmark with pressed plants grown in the Island’s gardens. Participants can also enjoy a tour of the Cottage Garden, a scavenger hunt through the gardens and the Urban Farm, and storytime with Boogie Down Books. The carnival style event will feature tickets for those that participate in the activities that can be redeemed for prizes including stickers, bouquets, and homegrown seed paper.
