
Storytime for Maurice Sendak Day at Rockefeller Center
Maurice Sendak Day is coming to New York City on June 10!
Join NYPL Librarians by the piano at FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Center for a family storytime honoring author Maurice Sendak — complete with favorite read-aloud books and a take-home craft!
Best suited for children ages 3 – 5, but all are welcome.
Please arrive on time to see all of the activities happening that day. Attendance is available on a first-come first-served basis.

Maurice Sendak was born on June 10, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish immigrant parents from Poland.
A largely self-taught artist, Sendak illustrated over 100 books during his 60-year career, delighting children and
adults in every corner of the globe, including his hometown of New York City. This year would have been his 97th birthday.
